I guess I can blame my dad for getting me into trains. For as long as I can remember, there have been model trains in my family. My parents had some when they were first married. My dad and I built a layout (well....mostly him) when I was 7, which lasted with multiple expansions, edits and modifications until I was in college. I've gone from punting bridges at age 3 to appreciating 1:87 scale wire mesh fan guards cast in plastic. Amazing how things like that happen.
