Yep, it finally happened. After 20 years and countless wisecracks about being the 'youngin', I finally turned 21. It was a rather sedate affair..no bar crawls and no shot contests. Just a few of my nearest and dearest and a cake. Interestingly enough, I share a birthday with a historical figure, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I'm sure there are other celeberities that were born on the 15th of Janury too. Anyway, back to the story. I came home from school on Friday the 14th, tired as hell. I spent a few hours with my (then girlfriend) friend Beth, who you will find immortalized with some regularity on my news page. She gave me a Magic 8-Ball. It tells the truth, even when I don't want to hear it.

Anyway, my dad took some pictures with his digital camera, in order to immortalize the event for posterity. Regular film pix exist, but will probably never be up.

Wax is not part of the FDA's recommended diet. The candles didn't stay in the cake very long.

Beth, looking on as I was presented with my cake. She really hates this picture.
