Pictures of my Vifa X3...

(33K)
564 x 399
This is my work area. It's sooooo well equipped.
This is the table I work on...it's an old set of bi-fold closet doors on a pair of cheapo sawhorses. Not exctly Norm Abram's workshop.

(34K)
535 x 356

(14K)
253 x 380
This is wht you end up with is you measure and then cut on the wrong side of the line. That's $35 worth of crp MDF. Anybody want it?
This is the stack of wood that will eventully become my speakers.

(33K)
474 x 460

(23K)
420 x 364
The mid box for the second of the two speakers being glued between the side panels. This box is getting close to done!
Another shot of box #2 being glued.

(21K)
337 x 365

(24K)
511 x 379
This is the mid enclosure for box #1 beign glued. The side panels are only there to hold it in shape so the clamps don't mess up the lignment.
This is the midrange enclosue for box #2 in the process of being glued to a side panel. It will get screwed as well after the joint sets.

(18K)
349 x 282

(28K)
387 x 580
The front of box #2 after it was put together some more.
The back of box #2 as the internal baffle was put on.

(30K)
401 x 574

(22K)
357 x 516
The side of box #2, following the insertion of about 60 screws.
This is a scrp piece of MDF cut so that I could do an initial eval of the mid/tweet combo. It kicks ass.

(44K)
361 x 447

(46K)
300 x 438
This is the crossover for the left channel as it stands on 1/3/00. Fugly, but functional.
Two completed crosovers waiting for boxes. The second one was a lot easier to build...it came out a little better.

(44K)
430 x 326

(20K)
262 x 493
Box #2, awaiting final attachment of the baffle. This is what they'll look like when I'm finished.
I know, I know, it's overkill, but this is what happens when you predrill screw holes on 3 hours of sleep. besides, the screws were on sale.

(35K)
527 x 411

(21K)
297 x 448
A truly ugly caulking job to keep the air where it's supposed to be in box #2.
Box #2, after being totally screwed.

(21K)
252 x 451

(49K)
676 x 415
I'm finished!
