It is said that if a PL700 is ever really used, the heatinks will heat up so much that the labels will fall off. This label is still firmly attached.

This is the PC36 (driver board) in my amp. It was made in 5 of '79...that's May for those of you playing along at home. The burned look around the upper resistor is supposedly normal. This is from the bottom.

Again, the burned looking resistor area. the diodes also seem to have gotten very warm. It seems to me that the PCB traces below the resistor carried a whole lot of current at one point.
